So that your website will be seen online, you need to register your domain name and have a web host.

Step 1 – Choose a web host and domain name provider

You can get a web host and domain name provider separately but I recommend getting both from one source because it is normally cheaper than getting it separately from a different source.

There are websites that can provide you free domain names and web hosting at the same time but its capabilities are limited. Normally this is enough for personal use.

If you are planning to create a website for business purposes, choose a provider that comes with a price. These have additional values that you can use to maximize the potential of your website.

Step 2 – Create your website

To create your website from scratch, you basically have 2 options. The first one is to hire a programmer that will do the coding for you and the second one is to learn how HTML works and how to code it.

Step 3 – Upload your webpages to your web host

After choosing a web host for your website, indicate your domain in it and upload your webpages via FTP. Normally, these web host allows you to directly upload your files in their public_html directory. Web pages in these directory are readily viewable via internet.
